1. Installation Services
Scope of Work: Luxe Window Film will supply and install window film on the windows specified in the agreement. The type, size, and specifications of the film will be determined during the consultation. This ensures that both parties are clear about the product and service being provided.
Additional Work: Any work that is not explicitly detailed in this agreement will be considered outside the scope of this installation. If any additional services or adjustments are required during the installation process, they may incur additional charges.
2. Installation Timing
Scheduled Time: Installation will take place within the time frame provided at the time of quoting. While we strive to adhere to this schedule, Luxe Window Film is not responsible for delays caused by unforeseen circumstances such as weather conditions, equipment failure, or traffic.
Completion Time: The installation typically takes between 2-6 hours, depending on the scope and complexity of the project. However, please note that the exact time frame may vary, and factors such as the size of the installation or site conditions may influence the duration.
3. Warranty and Guarantees
Product Warranty: All window films installed by Luxe Window Film come with a manufacturer’s warranty. The duration and coverage of the warranty vary depending on the specific product used. Detailed warranty information will be provided at the time of installation to ensure full transparency.
Installation Warranty: Luxe Window Film offers up to a 10-year warranty on the workmanship of the installation. This warranty covers defects or issues directly related to improper installation. However, it does not cover damage caused by external factors such as accidents, misuse, or neglect.
Exclusions: The warranty does not cover damages or performance issues resulting from improper maintenance, cleaning with abrasive materials, or modifications made by the customer to the window film. It is important to follow proper care instructions to ensure the longevity and performance of the installation.
4. Maintenance and Care
Post-Installation Care: After installation, it is common to notice water spots or bubbles on the window film. These are normal and will naturally dissipate as the film cures. The curing period can last up to 45 days. During this time, it is essential to avoid cleaning the windows to allow proper curing.
Inspection After Curing Period: If water spots or bubbles remain after the curing period, we will be happy to come back and inspect the film to assess the situation and take any necessary action.
Cleaning Instructions: Once the curing period is complete, you may clean the window film using a non-abrasive cloth and a mild, non-ammonia-based cleaner. This will help maintain the appearance and integrity of the film.
Avoid Harmful Cleaning Materials: To avoid damage, do not use solvents, rough sponges, or abrasive cleaners, as these can scratch or degrade the film. Always use gentle cleaning methods to ensure the longevity of the window film.
5. Cancellation and Rescheduling
Cancellation Policy: If you need to cancel your appointment, please notify us at least 48 hours before the scheduled installation. Cancellations made within 48 hours of the appointment may incur a cancellation fee of £50.
Rescheduling: If you wish to reschedule your appointment, please note that this is subject to availability. We will do our best to accommodate you, but we cannot guarantee an alternative date.
6. Liability
General Liability: Luxe Window Film is not liable for any damages or loss that may occur as a result of the installation, except for those covered under the warranty provisions outlined above.
Pre-Existing Conditions: While we take the utmost care during installation, Luxe Window Film is not responsible for any pre-existing conditions of your windows or surrounding areas, such as cracks, chips, uneven silicone, damaged seals, or structural issues that may be discovered during installation. If the windows or frames are damaged, uneven, or improperly installed, we will do our best to apply the film as smoothly as possible. However, we cannot be held responsible for any imperfections in the final finish caused by these existing conditions. The quality of the installation is directly affected by the condition of the glass and frame, and we cannot guarantee a flawless result on damaged or defective surfaces.
